The Quilt Exhibit is brought to you by

September 9-11, 2016

The Quilt Exhibit is all about inspiration! We expect to be inspired by you as much as you are inspired by the experiences we have in store for you during the event.

We are planning and sponsoring this event for all quilters and crafters, beginners and experienced makers, to learn in a creative atmosphere. We hope to promote the love of sewing and offer an innovative approach to today’s craft. If you are a home décor enthusiast, a garment maker, quilter or crafts person, there will be something for everyone at The Quilt Exhibit. We hope to see all our loyal customers as well as all those creative folk we haven’t met yet!

During the weekend, you can participate in classes, demonstrations and make ‘n’ takes while being immersed in both the history and future of quilting, crafting and creating.  We will introduce you to the latest in sewing machines, fabrics, patterns and techniques. We’ll revisit traditional quilting through a hands-on experience with the Dresden Plate Quilt, a pattern from the 1930”s that has recently seen a resurgence in popularity with a modern twist.  You will find this time-honored pattern today in many new layouts and colors.  We chose this pattern to celebrate its potential to showcase individuality and self-expression.

The Friday Night Gala features guest lecturer, Connie Rodman. Connie has created all of her life and loves to teach others her craft.  Her specialty is hand appliqué and she is a true expert at the needle turn method.  25 years ago she started a hand appliqué group with 11 other ladies.  They met each month and created quilts for each other.  Over the years the members of the group have changed but the mission has not.  It is a family of support.  A group of women who have grown together in their craft, supported each other through life’s losses, celebrated marriages, rejoiced in the birth of babies and life events.  It is a true mission of love and friendship.
