I fell in love with sewing at the age of 8 when my dad showed me how to use an old green Singer sewing machine. I made clothes for my sock monkey, and Barbie dolls out of anything I could find, eventually making clothes for myself.
I worked as a hairdresser for years when a couple clients asked if I wanted to take a quilting class with them. I knew that could be dangerous, since I loved to sew so much, so of course I took the class. The rest is history...In 2007 I purchased my first long arm quilting machine thinking I may quilt a top for a friend once in a while. Soon I had 30 quilts to do! After 26 years, I hung up my hairdressing shear and picked up the sewing scissors and never turned back! I quilt full time in my Fargo Studio quilting over 150 quilts for clients per year. I also have the wonderful opportunity to compete in many quilt competitions at quilt shows across the US.
I love to share my skills, and my crazy story, but I especially LOVE to encourage others along the way!
